Terms of Service

Effective: October 18, 2026

The short version

This box is a summary to help you read the terms. It is not a substitute for them.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

1.1. Weftwake is made by InterfaceDelta, Inc., a Delaware corporation, of 1435 Walnut St, Ste 501 #118, Philadelphia, PA 19102, USA. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean InterfaceDelta. "You" means the person using Weftwake.

1.2. These terms cover the Weftwake website and app at weftwake.com, and the emails we send about it. Together we call these "Weftwake".

1.3. These terms work alongside two other pages:

1.4. You accept these terms by using Weftwake. When you buy something, we'll ask you to agree to them again at checkout. If you don't agree, please don't use Weftwake.

2. Who can use Weftwake

2.1. Weftwake is for adults only. You must be 18 or older. Where you live, you must also be old enough to make a binding contract. When you tap "I'm 18 or older", you are telling us that this is true.

2.2. If we learn that someone under 18 is using Weftwake, we will close their access and delete their stories. If they paid, we'll refund them.

2.3. You may not use Weftwake if US law forbids you from receiving our services, for example because of sanctions.

3. Playing with or without an account

3.1. Playing without an account. You can play without signing in. A random id in a cookie on your device tells your stories apart from everyone else's. If you clear that cookie, change browser or lose your device, we can't get those stories back.

3.2. Signing in. You can sign in with your email address and a one-time code we email to you. This keeps your stories across devices. You need to sign in to buy anything, so that a purchase is never tied to a cookie you might lose.

3.3. Keep your email safe. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got into your account.

3.4. One person, one player. Your account is for you alone. Please don't share it, sell it or let others use it.

4. How Weftwake works, and what AI means for you

4.1. What happens in Weftwake.

The current list of the AI services we use is on the Privacy page.

4.2. You're talking to an AI. The narrator and every character in your story are voiced by AI, not by people. Characters are fictional, and any resemblance to real people is coincidence. We label AI-generated text and images as AI-generated. AI companions and AI characters may not be suitable for some minors, which is one reason Weftwake is for adults only.

4.3. AI can be wrong, strange or upsetting. AI output is unpredictable. A story may contain mistakes, contradictions, or things you didn't expect or don't like. Don't rely on anything in a story as fact, or as medical, legal, financial or other advice. If something in a story matters in real life, check it yourself with a reliable source. Other players may get stories that are similar to yours.

4.4. Mature themes. Mature themes are off unless you turn them on in Account settings. Turning them on asks you to confirm again that you're 18 or older. With mature themes on, romance and sensuality can be part of a story, written with literary restraint. Weftwake does not write explicit sex. Violence follows your lead.

4.5. Weftwake is not a crisis service or therapy.

The Safety page has the details.

5. Your stories and who owns what

5.1. What you write is yours. You keep all the rights you have in the lines you write.

5.2. What the AI writes for you is yours too. As between you and us, the replies, recaps and other text Weftwake writes in your stories belong to you. We give you whatever rights we have in them. Three things to know:

5.3. Plates are keepsakes.

5.4. What you let us do with your stories. To run Weftwake, you give us permission to:

This permission is worldwide and free of charge. It lasts only as long as we hold your content, plus the short time backups take to expire. It doesn't let us publish your stories, show them to other players (except what you choose to pass on, section 5.7), sell them or use them to advertise.

5.5. No training on your stories. We don't use your stories to train AI models. Our AI providers' contracts with us don't let them train their models on your stories either. Some details, such as how long a provider may keep data, are on the Privacy page.

5.6. Your stories are private. Only you can see your stories. The one way to share is passing an opening on (section 5.7), and only if you choose to. People at InterfaceDelta don't read your stories. The only exceptions are if you ask us to (for example, by sending us a story for support) or if the law requires it.

5.7. Passing an opening on. You can give a story's opening to someone with a private link ("Pass this opening on"). Here's how it works:

5.8. Export and delete. You can export your data or delete one story or everything at any time. To export, use "Export my data". To delete, use "Delete everything" on the Privacy page, or type either phrase into the story line. Deleting can't be undone. It also removes any unused pack turns. Deleting everything also cancels your Patronage, if you have one.

6. Paying: Patronage and turn packs

6.1. Link takes the payment. We sell Patronage and turn packs through Stripe Managed Payments.

6.2. Free turns.

6.3. What is a turn? A turn is one move you send and the narrator's reply to it. The nightly dream, morning letters and things like exporting your data don't use turns. If a turn fails because of a problem on our side, write to us and we'll put it right, for example by restoring the turn.

6.4. Patronage (subscriptions).

Plan Price Turns
Patron, monthly US$7.99 a month 600 a month
Patron, yearly US$79.99 a year 600 a month
Founding Patron, monthly US$4.99 a month for the first 12 months, then US$7.99 a month 600 a month

6.5. Turn packs (one-time purchases).

Pack Price Turns
Turn pack US$3 150
Turn pack US$5 250
Turn pack US$10 500
Turn pack US$20 1,000
Finish this chapter US$2.99 60

6.6. Prices, currency and tax.

6.7. If a payment fails. Link may try again. While a renewal is unpaid, Patron benefits may pause. If it stays unpaid, your Patronage ends. Pack turns you've already bought stay yours.

6.8. Offers. We may sometimes offer discounts or promotions. We'll explain their terms when we offer them. They don't change what you've already paid for.

7. Renewal, cancelling and refunds

7.1. Patronage renews automatically.

7.2. Reminders.

7.3. Price changes. Weftwake runs on AI models from other companies, and what they charge us can change. So we may change our prices, the turns a plan or pack includes, and which plans and packs we offer, at any time. For new purchases, the prices and turns shown at checkout apply. For a Patronage you already have, a change never applies to a period you've already paid for. It applies from a renewal, and we'll email you at least 7 days and no more than 30 days before that renewal. You can cancel before then. The founding price ends as section 6.4 describes.

7.4. How to cancel. You can cancel online at any time, in a few clicks, with no phone call. There are three ways:

7.5. What happens when you cancel. No further payments will be taken. You keep your Patron benefits until the end of the period you've paid for, and then they stop. Your stories and any pack turns stay yours. Cancelling a monthly plan doesn't refund the current month. If you cancel within 14 days of a first purchase or a yearly renewal, section 7.6 applies.

7.6. Our 14-day refund promise (for everyone, wherever you live).

7.7. Other refunds. We'll also refund you if:

7.8. Link's own refund policy. Link may also give refunds under its own policy, for example within 60 days if something wasn't delivered or wasn't as described. Nothing in these terms reduces what Link's policy or the law gives you.

7.9. Please talk to us before a chargeback. If something's wrong, write to us first. We'll usually sort it out faster than a bank dispute can. If you dispute a charge, we may pause what that payment bought while the dispute is open. Your stories stay safe.

8. If you live in the EU or the UK: your right to withdraw

8.1. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a legal right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. You don't have to give a reason. The 14 days start on the day you buy a Patron plan or a turn pack.

8.2. Starting straight away. Weftwake is a digital service, and your turns are ready as soon as you pay. At checkout, you ask us to start right away and confirm that you understand two things:

8.3. What you get back. If you withdraw, we refund the price minus a proportionate amount for what you've received up to the moment you tell us. We work that out two ways: by turns used (as in section 7.6) and by days passed. You get whichever gives you the larger refund. We refund you within 14 days of hearing from you, to the payment method you used. If we didn't ask you at checkout to start right away, you pay nothing for what you used.

8.4. How to withdraw. You can withdraw any of these ways:

We'll confirm by email that we've received your withdrawal.

8.5. Your other legal rights. If you live in the EU or UK, you also have legal rights when digital content or a digital service is faulty or not as described. Nothing in these terms affects those rights. For example, Weftwake must match its description and work as described. If it doesn't, you may be entitled to have it fixed, to a price reduction or to end the contract.

9. Turns are not money

9.1. Turns, free turns, pack turns and Patron allowances are a licence to use Weftwake. They are not money, a bank balance or property. They have no cash value. You can't sell them, transfer them or exchange them for cash. The only exceptions are the refunds in sections 7, 8 and 13.

9.2. We won't take away turns you've paid for, except:

10. Content rules

10.1. Stories can be dark. Weftwake is fiction, and fiction can go to hard places. But some things are never allowed, in any story, with or without mature themes. Don't use Weftwake to create, or try to make the AI create:

10.2. Use Weftwake fairly. Don't:

10.3. How the rules are enforced.

11. Copyright complaints

11.1. Weftwake stories are private, so we don't expect many copyright complaints. If you believe something on Weftwake infringes your copyright, send a notice to our copyright agent:

11.2. Your notice should include:

11.3. If we remove something after a notice, we'll tell the player. They can send a counter-notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.

12. Ending things

12.1. You can stop at any time. You can stop playing whenever you like. Cancel your Patronage (section 7.4) and, if you want, delete everything (section 5.8).

12.2. We may suspend or close your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, including:

We may also do it if the law requires it.

12.3. We'll usually tell you first. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to explain. We may act straight away when there's a serious risk to people, to Weftwake or to us, or when the law requires it.

12.4. What happens to your stories and money. If we close your access:

12.5. Sections 5.2, 5.3, 9 and 14 to 20 keep applying after these terms end.

13. Changes

13.1. Weftwake will change. We're still building Weftwake. We may add, change or remove features. If a change substantially reduces what you've paid for, you can cancel. We'll then refund the unused part of a prepaid period.

13.2. Changes to these terms. We may update these terms, for example when Weftwake changes or the law does. If a change matters, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect: by email if you've signed in, and in the app. Small fixes, such as typos, may take effect straight away. So may changes the law requires. Changes are never backdated, and they don't affect a dispute that has already started.

13.3. If you don't agree to a change. Stop using Weftwake and cancel before the change takes effect. If you've prepaid, we'll refund the unused part. If you keep using Weftwake after a change takes effect, the new terms apply to you.

13.4. If Weftwake closes. If we ever shut Weftwake down, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice. You'll have time to export your stories and save your plates. We'll refund unused prepaid Patron time and unused pack turns.

14. Weftwake belongs to us

14.1. Weftwake belongs to InterfaceDelta and its licensors. That includes the software, the design, the world-building system, the prompts, the music, the name "Weftwake" and its look. We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use Weftwake for your own enjoyment while you follow these terms. Your own stories and plates are covered by section 5.

14.2. Feedback. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Weftwake. We owe you nothing for them. The feedback box is anonymous.

15. Disclaimers

15.1. We work hard to make Weftwake good and reliable. But it's a creative AI service, and we can't promise that it will always be available, error-free, or produce stories you'll like.

15.2. For people outside the EU and UK. Weftwake is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we disclaim warranties that aren't written in these terms. That includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

15.3. What this doesn't take away. Some places don't allow these disclaimers, and if you live in one, they apply to you only as far as the law there allows. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived, or what we promise elsewhere in these terms.

16. Limits on our liability

16.1. For people outside the EU and UK, as far as the law allows:

16.2. What we never limit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

16.3. For consumers in the EU and UK.

17. If you cause a claim against us

17.1. Paying for claims you cause. If someone makes a legal claim against us because you broke the content rules in section 10, or broke the law using Weftwake, you'll cover our reasonable costs of that claim.

17.2. How we'll handle it. We'll tell you about the claim promptly and let you take part in how it's handled.

17.3. EU and UK. This section doesn't apply to consumers in the EU or UK.

18. If we disagree

18.1. Talk to us first. Most problems can be fixed with an email. Before starting any legal claim, write to hello@interfacedelta.com. Say what's wrong and what you'd like us to do. We'll both try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. This step doesn't stop the clock on any legal time limit.

18.2. No arbitration. You can go to court.

18.3. Which law applies. Pennsylvania law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you live in another US state, you still keep the protections of that state's laws that can't be waived by contract.

18.4. EU and UK. If you're a consumer in the EU or UK:

19. Notices for certain places

19.1. California. You can file a complaint, or get more information about your rights, with the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by phone at (800) 952-5210. We publish our crisis protocol on the Safety page.

19.2. New Jersey. Sections 15 and 16 don't limit our liability in New Jersey where New Jersey law doesn't allow that limit. In particular, they don't limit our liability for:

19.3. Other places. Some states and countries give you rights these terms can't take away. Where that's the case, those rights win.

20. The rest

20.1. These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about Weftwake. The Privacy and Safety pages, and anything we show you at checkout, are part of them. Link's terms govern your payment (section 6.1).

20.2. If part of these terms doesn't hold up. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies, and that part is changed only as much as needed.

20.3. If we don't enforce something straight away, we can still enforce it later.

20.4. Events outside our control. We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events we can't reasonably control. Examples are outages at our providers, internet failures, natural disasters or government action. This doesn't excuse refunds we owe you.

20.5. Transfers. We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over Weftwake, as long as your rights under them stay the same. We'll tell you if that happens. You can't transfer these terms or your account.

20.6. Email. We'll contact you by email if you've signed in, and otherwise in the app. Here's what we send:

Notices we send by email count as "in writing".

20.7. Language. These terms are written in English. If we ever offer a translation and the two differ, the English version applies, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
